Novena booklet: 9 prayers – approx. 15 × 10.5 cm

The source states that the booklet was printed by the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon in accordance with Canon Law and contains background material and prayers to Mary Undoer of Knots.

Within Catholic devotion, the novena is presented as a way to entrust worries and difficulties to Mary, Mother of Jesus, in a spirit of faith and trust. The source mentions concerns such as anxiety, debts, employment or housing searches, school concerns, illness, pain, family crises, separation, addictions, stress and depression.

A novena is described as a prayer repeated for nine consecutive days, with one prayer for each day. The source associates the number nine with the Holy Trinity and the nine choirs of angels.

Prayer may provide spiritual comfort, but it does not guarantee a particular outcome and does not replace medical, psychological, addiction, financial, legal or other professional support when needed.

Candle safety: despite the source’s instruction not to extinguish the candle during the nine days, never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish it whenever you leave the room or go to sleep. Place it upright on a stable, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface, away from drafts, curtains, paper and other combustible materials, and keep adequate clearance around and above the flame.
