Amethyst Pendant
According to an ancient Greek myth, amethyst takes its name from a young woman named Amethyst, whose story is linked to Bacchus and the origin of the stone’s violet colour.

Stone approx. 2 to 2.5 cm
Traditionally associated with purification, spiritual elevation, meditation, intuition, wisdom, balance and spirituality
According to an ancient Greek myth, Bacchus, in a fit of anger, decided that the first person to cross his path would be devoured by tigers. The unfortunate person was a young woman named Amethyst, who was on her way to the temple of Diana to pray. As the tigers leapt toward her, the goddess Diana intervened and transformed her into a beautiful transparent crystal. Filled with remorse, Bacchus poured grape juice over the crystal as an offering, giving it its violet colour.
In lithotherapy traditions, amethyst is associated with spirituality, intuition, meditation, inner balance and calm. It is also symbolically linked with purification of the aura, openness of mind, dreams and a more peaceful state of mind.
Some traditional lithotherapy sources also attribute physical or therapeutic effects to amethyst. These claims are not medically proven and the stone should not replace medical advice or treatment.
Cleansing and recharging: rinse with water. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight, which may fade the stone. It may also be placed with other stones traditionally used for recharging.
