The Triskelion is a threefold spiral motif widely associated with Celtic-inspired symbolism. Its three arms turn in the same direction and evoke movement and cyclical ideas.

The source associates the number three and the Triskelion with several symbolic triads: three deities named Lug, Dagda and Ogme; water, earth and fire; youth, maturity and old age; and past, present and future.
